PARENTING PROGRAMS
Supporting the Adults Who Care for Children
Children do best when the adults around them feel supported, understood, and confident.
Parenting programs at Big Bear’s Treehouse are designed to support parents, carers, and foster carers to better understand children’s emotional needs, behaviour, and relational worlds, particularly when things feel challenging or confusing.
These programs are grounded in attachment, nervous system awareness, and real-life parenting experience. They are practical, respectful, and focused on strengthening relationships rather than “fixing” behaviour.
How Programs Are Delivered
Parenting programs may be offered:
in small groups
individually with parents or carers
in collaboration with agencies, schools, or organisations
as part of broader therapeutic or outreach work
Program structure, duration, and fees are discussed prior to commencement.
For Parents & Carers
You do not need to be “doing something wrong” to benefit from parenting support. Many adults attend simply because they want to understand their child better, feel less overwhelmed, or feel more confident in their role.
Parenting is not meant to be done alone.
